Hello everyone,

OONI team has released Lepidopter, a Raspberry Pi image based on Debian
distribution.
The image contains all the necessary packages, configuration sets and
automation tasks to perform daily OONI measurements tests without any
physical attention.

You can download the alpha release version of Lepidopter here:
https://get.ooni.torproject.org/lepidopter/lepidopter-alpha-armel.img.xz

Detailed instructions on how to verify and copy the image to a SD card
are available here: https://ooni.torproject.org/lepidopter/lepidopter

You can find the source code, and developer documentation as well as
how to test and build yourself a Lepidopter Raspberry Pi image from
scratch here: https://github.com/TheTorProject/ooni-probe

Additionally we are announcing the launch of ooni-operators
(https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ooni-operators) a
mailing list that will offer support and discussion relate to running
and maintaining a regular ooni-probe. Be sure to subscribe to the list
if you would like to contribute to OONI and help detect network
interferences that are often signs of internet censorship by running a
probe in any platform that you may have available.

We will be happy to hear of any comments, suggestions and any bug report
s.
