https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-grothoff-iesg-special-use-p2p-names/ is expired & I haven't been able to find anything indicating it's still being considered.
It's still something that we're working on it. We should update it and post a new revision. Seth Schoen recently went to the latest IETF in Hawaii to discuss it with some folks in person and we're going to update it after we review his feedback.
Are you keeping it with the DNS Ops WG?
