It looks like Tor currently needs at least two EntryNodes to bootstrap. It hangs when loading descriptors. See https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/19989
This leaves me concerned that we won't be able to switch to one guard. (It's also somewhat annoying when I'm trying to test if each of my relays is working correctly.)
Did we have plans to switch to one guard any time soon?

It turns out that Tor refuses to fetch descriptors from an Exit, even if it's the only EntryNode.
So it's annoying when you're trying to test directory fetches, but correct in the majority of cases.
