On my up to date WinXP machine I:
Installed Opened ritter.vg Selected a link and chose Save As Chose to download the file Changed the download folder to the desktop by clicking on the left hand thingie Changed the download folder to C:\ by typing and hitting enter Changed the download folder by double-clicking on Program Files Changed the download folder by choosing My Documents from the dropdown Tried the Up, Back, 'Save as type' dropdown, and looked at all the view options.
It didn't crash.
Good, thanks. What happens if you change the download folder generally via mechanism on Tools->Options->General(tab)?
