Although the intent of your statement is understandable, ports themselves are not "encrypted" or otherwise. The traffic commonly carried on them could be of a protocol that is such. Also remember to consider protocols like SMTP on both ports 25 and 587 will commonly start as plaintext and elevate through the use of STARTTLS.
