Good morning onion,
I don't know what your definition of "new to networking" is but I'm going to assume you've been using consumer gear for your network. That being said, there is a learning curve to the Mikrotik though they do come with a working but very vanilla configuration out of the box. If you would like, I would be willing to help you with a working configuration if you decide to go with a Mikrotik for your network.

@ Isaac: Thank you, i might come back on you kind offer in a personal mail.
I found out that the WAN port on https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-7590/technical-data/ is not giving an additional WAN it only woks as input an no output.
That means in my understanding that i fist need a DSL-modem to connect to DSL, then a router which has, apart from several LAN ports for Tor and others, an additional WAN port, which i can connect to the fritzbox which is handling all the local (private) LAN plus phone facilities - is this the right way?
If so, what is a good DSL-modem in front of a Mikrotik router or are there routers with attached DSL-modem from them?
