Hi,
Have any other tor operator *in Canada* been targeted with DMCA takedown notices? We have received a bunch from our upstream provider and so far have refused legal responsability because (a) we're not in the US and (b) there's nothing to takedown, we're just a transit provider...
But now our upstream is threatening us to completely disconnect us if we do not take action within 30 days.
We're running a full exit node, so it's likely getting used by people for bittorrent downloads...
Ideas? Suggestions? Legal support? United organised legal front?

You should try contacting the EFF, email them the full story. I'm sure they will know what do to in this cases. Maybe with just a 'call from the US' they can fix this. Keep us updated,
