If that could be managed well and everyone is comfortable with Jekyll then I think that will work out well. I am just concerned about generation speeds.

of course it will but it shouldn’t be too hard to setup a smaller testing site with e.g. one page per content type. in one blog post I read about an option in jekyll that allows to exclude some content types from generation
- if that’s indeed teh case than it should do the trick too.

The current website in WML takes around 30 seconds to build a modern freebsd running on an intel i7-3667U.
