just to make sure everyone is aware of the different relevant tickets
that are already open concerning the website, a few trac links:

and only some of them are relevant to the redesign, but they should
give a good overview of what improvements are required.
More fine-grained milestones (subset of "component: website" tickets):

most-travelled path through the Website.
